THE NARCISSIST ABUSER

July 2019

The Narcissist Abuser. This July, we take a deeper look into narcissist abuse and the abusive narcissist. "Now you see them... Now you don't..." is just one of the phrases we created for this month's R.U.F.A movement topic. It's purpose to help people understand that a narcissist is always wearing a mask and that only the people who chooses (often times, his victims) will see the real evil person he is. Stay tuned this July to learn more about narcissist abuse and the abuser himself.

AUGUST 2019

Grief

Grief: healing from loss. This topic came up when my Grandfather passed away suddenly days before the month of August started. I realized that I had never been touched by death this personally, this close. Then I realized that perhaps some of our followers and supporters might have been grieving over a number of things lately, and it became clear to me that this August, I would address the topic of "Grief" and help others deal with the grieving process, just as I had started.

Anxiety

#WeAreAnxiousPeople
This month we talked about anxiety, because anxiety is a mental illness at least 18% of the people in the United States, according to Time magazine in May 2018. We discussed types of anxiety people suffer from, ways to cope with back to school anxiety, symptoms of anxiety and more. Visit our instagram page @that_is_freedom to watch our video about anxiety, or find it in the graphics and video section of our website.

OCTOBER 2019

Depression

In October, we chose to focus on Depression because it's another very common mental illness in the United States. We discussed self-care for depression, the different types of depression, coping skills for depression and more. We wanted to educate our community on depression because it's "something more than just sadness."

NOVEMBER 2019

Human Sex Trafficking

"Freedom For Our People". During the month of November, 2019, we focused on educating our community on human sex trafficking. On our instagram page, we posted graphics with facts about human sex traffickers and human sex trafficking victims and we posted a flyer about human sex trafficking. We also posted a video about human sex trafficking, and a research paper on the predators of human sex trafficking, that our founder, Druw C. Biello, wrote for a global social problems course she took during college at Reinhardt University.

"Knowledge Is Power"

DECEMBER 2019

PTSD is a psychiatric disorder that affects more than just combat veterans, although many combat veterans suffer from it. So this month, we wanted to teach our community more about PTSD, because "it's more than a mental fight." On our social media pages, we talked about who has PTSD, the symptoms of PTSD, examples of traumatic events that somebody suffering from PTSD has gone through, and more.

THE END OF OUR RISING UP FOR AWARENESS MOVEMENT

In December 2018, our founder started the movement Rising Up For Awareness to help educate our community about different social issues, and after a year of focusing on 12 different social issues, we decided to put this movement to rest in order to be able to create more movements and projects that also fulfill That Is Freedom's purpose, which is to educate and advocate for our community. "Knowledge Is Power" and we hope you will continue to follow us and support us through the next phases of our journey as an awareness campaign & educational organization.

WE HOPE YOU LEARNED A LOT AND ENJOYED OUR RISING UP FOR AWARENESS MOVEMENT
